“Simbang Gabi” painting with ArtRage 4 depicting the devotional nine-day series of Masses practised by Catholics in the Philippines in anticipation of Christmas and to honor the Blessed Virgin Mary. The masses are held daily from December 16 to December 24 in the early mornings. On the last day of the Simbang Gabi, which is Christmas Eve, the service is instead called Misa de Gallo or “Rooster’s Mass”.
By the way, Simbang Gabi will be celebrated by the Filipino-American community in Tampa in 2015. Check out the participating churches.
What is ArtRage 4?
ArtRage is a digital painting app that mimics real-life art techniques. It gives you “real life painting tools on your computer in a stylish, easy to use environment that lets you get down to the process of creating without digital distractions” as the app description says on the artrage website. It’s like a mini artsy Photoshop at a fraction of the cost.
Everybody who is interested in visual art, whether simply sketching, doodling stick figures or making a full digital Picasso, should try ArtRage! Whether just a dragon caricature or a Monalisa, who knows what kind of major masterpiece you can come up with in the near future!
