I had the honor of being part of The Lord’s Prayer Virtual Choir with more than 90 singers from different batches of the University of the Philippines Concert Chorus, including alumni members. This is the fifth virtual choir project I have done with UPCC throughout the COVID-19 worldwide lock-down.
The Lord’s Prayer is a musical setting of the Lord’s Prayer written by Albert Hay Malotte in 1935, with versions by different arrangers for various media. This is the choral version arranged by Carl Deis, with additional flute lines performed by flutist Ray Sison from Manila, Philippines. The piano accompaniment used is from the original Schirmer edition.
Noriz Delos Reyes Castillo, Project Manager for this virtual choir project first posted this endeavor at Facebook on April 26, 2020 with the following dedication:
“The University of the Philippines Concert Chorus is one with the world in praying to the Father for the healing of those who are sick, for protecting those who are taking care of them, and for comforting those who have lost their loved ones. May everyone find hope, peace, love and blessing through these words that Jesus Christ taught us.”
