Musikong Kawayan Bamboo Ensemble 17th Annual Concert

After two years of the Corona Virus pandemic, the Philippine Cultural Foundation, Inc. is back as it presents the Musikong Kawayan Bamboo Ensemble as it performs its 17th Annual Concert on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at 6:00 PM at the Bayanihan Arts and Events Center located at 14301 Nine Eagles Drive, Tampa, FL 33626.

This dinner and dance concert will also feature guest performers, the Philippine Performing Arts Company directed by PCFI Cultural Director Joey Omila, the Philippine Choral Group directed by Connie Chanrasmi and DJ Johnny Sta. Ana who will be providing dance music after the dinner show.

MK’s 17th Annual Concert will include buffet dinner and cash bar. The dinner concert will be a selection of original compositions and arrangements of Nhick Ramiro Pacis, including Filipino and popular songs, traditional and popular American favorites. In honor of the indigenous tribes of the Philippines, the show will also feature “Semmek“, especially choreographed dances from the Yakan, TBoli, Blaan, and the Tagabili tribes of the Philippines, and original music composition by Nhick Ramiro Pacis, with Yakan dialect translations by Vicky Siazon through the efforts of Vivian Furigay-Dudgeon.

Suggested donation to Musikong Kawayan Bamboo Ensemble’s 17th Annual Concert is $60. Please come in semi-formal attire.

The Musikong Kawayan Bamboo Ensemble is one of the resident performing groups of the Philippine Cultural Foundation, Inc. and is part of the foundation’s Music, Art, Theater and Dance Program. Musikong Kawayan has provided nineteen years of performing around the Tampa Bay Area, thanks to the support of the Arts Council of Hillsborough County and the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners.
