Magsimula Ka is about seizing the new day with motivation and inspiration. This song definitely mirrors the lives of many who are, at this moment, just getting up and running after months of hiatus from day to day normalcy. The Covid pandemic indeed dented a whole chunk of our lives.
This is the latest virtual choir project I worked on with the UP Concert Chorus alumni and members and participated in by more than eighty individuals who are now living in different parts of the globe.
This song has been dedicated to all Covid survivors, especially to Annie Lumbang-Regaliza, a UPCC alumni member, who battled Covid for more than three months and successfully and miraculously recovered. She is presently in Australia.
I am indeed humbled to be playing for them as well as writing additional arrangement for the flute.
