Attending Eric Whitacre’s ‘Soaring Leap’

Can’t wait to be at Eric Whitacre’s “Soaring Leap”, a one-day workshop for singers, conductors and composers, tomorrow, January 11, 2012 at the University of Tampa! Eric Whitacre pioneered the “Virtual Choir” series that went viral on youtube. I saw this video long ago and I thought it was a brilliant idea!

Villa Escudero

I saw Villa Escudero for the first time in June, 2011 when my brother took me for lunch on our way to Batangas. At first sight, I fell in love with the place – the rustic views, good food in one-of-a-kind restaurant and the service was impeccable! Villa Escudero is located along the outskirts of San Pablo City, south of Manila through a two-hour drive through the countryside. It was (and still is) a coconut plantation owned by Don Placido Escudero, a famous Filipino agro-industrialist back in the 1880’s.

New Web Design For 2012

After the hectic start in December and before the onset of Christmas and into 2012, I have decided to give my almost three-year old web layout a makeover. This time, I upgraded from Joomla! 1.5 to 1.7, cleared all the clutter for a semi-minimalistic taste and tried to incorporate more of my photography into the main page.

The performance of “Venisti” is part of the Florida Orchestra’s three-day “Christmas at the Pops” with guest conductor Victor Vanacore. Performances over the weekend include Straz Center (Tampa), Mahaffey Theater (St. Pete) and Ruth Eckerd Hall (Clearwater).
