So my friend, Ann and I decided to watch a movie after a very intense meeting on a Sunday afternoon. Before anything else we had to eat so we decided to look for Applebee’s since I had a gift card from last Christmas. We could not find it anywhere along Hillsborough Avenue so to make it short, we ended up at Pho Quyen Vietnamese Restaurant. I think this choice turned out to be the better one.
I had seafood noodle soup (rice noodle) while Ann had stir fried tofu and egg noodle. I didn’t get to taste her order, but mine was absolutely refreshing. There is a lightness about Vietnamese food that I really like, probably due to minimal use of cooking oil or the fresh mint in the vegetable combination. If only the service was a bit faster.
